How to download TikTok videos and reels

Use a public link. Private accounts and videos that TikTok only shows after login cannot be saved here.

Copy the link

Open the video on TikTok and copy the address. It should look like tiktok.com/@user/video/… . Short vm.tiktok.com, vt.tiktok.com, and tiktok.com/t/ links work too.

Search on the home page

Paste the address into the search box on the HD Download TikTok Videos home page and press Search. The site fetches the public page and shows a preview when a thumbnail or video file is available.

Choose a size

Choose HD when that size is listed. If TikTok publishes more than one size, each extra size has its own button, often labeled SD or by width and height. The button saves that exact file.

From the command line

On a computer with PHP, php index.php "URL" saves the largest listed file. Add list to print sizes, or a size such as sd to save that one.

Only save videos you may keep.
